Collagen implant urethra

Collagen implant in the urethra is a minimally-invasive treatment for urinary incontinence that is refractory to medical treatment. This is best when used in older dogs with urethral sphincter mechanism incompetence since the effects of treatment only last 6-24 months. Hydraulic urethral occluders should be considered in younger dogs with incontinence.

The collagen is placed via cystoscopy.
